Symptom
I want to add an external domain to my existing web hosting plan. Which IP address do I need to enter into the name servers?
Solution
a) Log-in to your web server control panel and click on the „Websites and Domains“ tab. The line that follows the domain name displays the IPv4- and IPv6 address of your server.
b) You can create a PHP script with this content, upload it to your web space and open it from a web browser, to see the IP address of your domain:
c) You can open a command line in your operating system and enter:
ping [domain name]
(Instead of „[domain name]“ enter your own domain name. Omit the brackets.)
